About Me

Jennifer Ofstein-Sullivan

My journey as a massage therapist, combined with my expertise in health coaching and functional medicine, allows me to offer a comprehensive, well-rounded approach to wellness. I am passionate about helping people achieve lasting results by addressing their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. With each client, I strive to create a personalized experience that honors their unique needs and supports them on their journey to optimal health and vitality.

In my early 20s, I had a life-changing experience that made me realize the transformative power of massage therapy. It ignited a deep desire within me to alleviate physical suffering and help others feel incredible. In 2010, with the encouragement of dear friends, I took a leap of faith and enrolled at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy.

Drawing from my education at Bancroft, I specialized in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports/Orthopedic, and Myofascial Release techniques. As the years went by, I expanded my repertoire by acquiring additional skills such as Structural Release Therapy (SRT), Cupping, and Blades (similar to Graston Technique used in Physical Therapy). However, I felt there was still something missing to truly become a well-rounded therapist. This drove me to explore energy healing modalities like Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki, recognizing the importance of addressing not just the physical, but also the mental and emotional aspects of healing.

While I initially anticipated exploring the holistic and energetic aspects of bodywork, I unexpectedly fell in love with the technical precision of sports and injury-focused massage. In May 2012, I embarked on my professional career as a Licensed Massage Therapist at a Health Club. What amazed me about this profession is the vast array of techniques and approaches one can learn to tailor each session to the unique needs of clients.

Another pivotal moment occurred when I battled severe seasonal allergies in 2007, which restricted my outdoor activities. Determined to find a solution beyond medication, I sought the guidance of a trusted Holistic Nutritionist, who suggested dietary modifications and supplements. Within a week of implementing these changes, I made a full recovery. This eye-opening experience reinforced my belief in the power of simple, holistic approaches to healing. It inspired me to expand my career and integrate health coaching into my practice, empowering individuals to embark on a path of lasting transformation. In October 2018, I became a Certified Health Coach, and my thirst for knowledge led me to pursue certification as a Functional Medicine Practitioner at the School of Applied Functional Medicine.
